Meet Dr. Sanford

Dr. Sanford 2016Cody Sanford, D.D.S.

Dr. Sanford is a graduate of Austin College in Sherman, TX with a bachelor’s in biology and a minor in environmental studies, as well as, graduating from the University Of Texas School Of Dentistry in Houston.

He first met Dr. Murphey and Dr. Nalley on a mission trip in San Raymundo, Guatemala where they provided care to a local village. Dr. Sanford’s passion for dentistry began in high school when he saw how a boy’s life with a cleft palate was adversely affected. His desire to effect positive change for those with oral health complications was ignited from that moment on.

“Dentistry is an art form. When you can meet a patient who is embarrassed or feels defeated about their smile and make them proud to smile again, isn’t that what it’s all about?,” says Dr. Sanford.

Dr. Sanford puts patients at ease with his gentle and warm-hearted personality while making sure to listen. He is trained in CEREC CAD/CAM dentistry allowing Dr. Sanford to provide cutting edge technology and techniques to benefit Woodlands Family Dental patients. Dr. Sanford has the passion and technical skill to provide his patients with the most beautiful, comfortable healthy smile and gums possible.

As, a first generation college graduate from a small farming town named Van Alstyne in Texas, Dr. Sanford understands the value of hard work. When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Sanford enjoys running (he competed in a marathon in 2014), hiking, fishing, cooking, traveling and gardening. At the young age of 18 years old he planted a vegetable garden and 42 vines and produced homemade wine for 6 years!
